PROJECT DESCRIPTION

There is no fee for individuals to participate in THE SMOOCH PROJECT.* A typical public shoot lasts four hours, during which approximately 40-50 people participate and 900 images collected. Each photograph captures two people, one demonstrating their affection for the lucky recipient, who faces the camera. The individual shoots take less than five minutes. Examples of sites selected for Smooch Project shoots include church festivals, public events, and large family picnics.

All project participants receive a free CD containing the personal images taken of them and their loved ones. These images are high-resolution jpeg files, printable up to 11-by-14 inches. All adults are asked to register as Smooch Project participants by completing and signing a release form. The form also requests permission to use the pictures for potential future promotional or commercial use. Granting permission to the artist is entirely optional. All participants will be included in THE SMOOCH PROJECT and receive their CD, regardless of this personal decision.

* The single exception to this statement are private Smooch Project photo shoots requested by family groups, who wish to hire the photographer and financially support the ongoing project.
