PROJECT GOALS

The primary purpose for creating the photographs found in THE SMOOCH PROJECT is to lift the hearts of participants and viewers alike and serve as a reminder to all of the enduring human capacity to love and care for another. In a world darkened by cynicism and terror, a simple act of affection has the power to transform. These pictures capture the most important priority in our lives -- those we love. Buoyed by the enthusiastic reception of recent Smooch Project participants, the photographer has now set her sights on visually recording thousands of people throughout the world demonstrating their love and care for their spouses, significant others, children, elders, animals or even a cherished belonging.

Photographs will be collected from throughout the world. Selected images will be printed and exhibited in gallery or other public settings. Most images will be viewable
on THE SMOOCH PROJECT website. A large collection of the photos will be made available via DVD format. There may be a photographic book published.
